Privacy Notice
Effective October 11, 2026
This notice covers passiv.app and the Passiv waitlist. It explains what we collect when you visit, join the waitlist or send us a message, and what we do with it. The Passiv app will have its own privacy policy when the paid beta opens.
Passiv is run by Passiv Solutions LLC, 3115 Tall Grass Drive, Naperville, IL, USA. Questions about privacy go to privacy@passiv.app.
What we collect

Cookies and analytics
We use CookieYes to ask for your consent and remember your choice, which sets a cookie on your device. If you allow analytics, we load Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without using cookies or building a profile of you. We don't use advertising cookies or ad trackers. You can change your choice any time with the link at the bottom of every page, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.
When you sign in to your waitlist dashboard, we set one strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Page scripts can't read it, and signing out deletes it. Your browser also keeps two small items in its own storage: the referral code you arrived with, so it counts if you join, and which coach type tab you picked last. You can clear them any time in your browser settings.
Emails we send
- A link to confirm your email, and a sign in link whenever you ask for one.
- A note when your first referral joins, and when you unlock free months through referrals.
- Updates about Passiv and the paid beta, including when your spot opens.
Every waitlist email shows how to leave. Leaving deletes your details straight away.
Who else handles your data
We use a few service providers to run the site. They only process your data to provide their service to us.
- Vercel hosts the website and, if you allow it, measures page views.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that contact form messages come from a person, not a bot. It looks at signals from your browser and doesn't use advertising cookies.
- CookieYes runs the cookie banner and keeps a record of your consent choice.
- Supabase stores the waitlist and contact messages.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces, which means your browser asks Google's servers for them.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising. People you refer and people who refer you never see each other's email addresses. Referrers only see how many people joined with their link.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist details stay until you leave the waitlist or until we close the waitlist after launch, whichever comes first.
- Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- The scrambled IP code saved with a waitlist entry or message is deleted along with it. The ones used only for rate limits are deleted after one day.
Your choices and rights
- Leave: use the link in any waitlist email, or the Leave button on your waitlist dashboard. We delete your entry and our record of the emails we sent you.
- See, fix or delete: email privacy@passiv.app and we'll respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm the request from the same email address.
- Depending on where you live, including California, the UK and the EU, you may have more rights, like getting a copy of your data or objecting to how we use it. Email us and we'll help. We won't treat you differently for asking.
If you're in the UK or EU: we rely on your consent to send waitlist emails, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure for logs and spam checks. Your data is stored in the United States. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Kids
Passiv is for working coaches and consultants. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Security
The waitlist database can only be reached through a small set of checked functions. Links in our emails use long random codes, and we only store a scrambled version of them. No system is perfect, so if you spot a problem, email security@passiv.app.
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email people on the waitlist before it takes effect.
